Doing some research on what used models I should be looking for..

Its all about power efficiency.. Divided the watts used by the hash rate..

There is a site that tracks miners that are actually being used and the power consumption.

    https://www.asicminervalue.com/efficiency/sha-256

So the SHA256 (bitcoin mining) devices that I should be looking to purchase in the used markets are the...

    Bitmain Antminer S19 Pro
    3250W / 110Th/s = 29.5
Profitability per day as of 5/6/2021 = $40.0

    Bitmain Antminer S19j Pro
    3050W / 100TH/s = 30.5
Profitability per day as of 5/6/2021 = $36.10

    MicroBT Whatsminer M30S++
    3472W / 112TH/s = 31
Profitability per day as of 5/6/2021 = $40.27

    MicroBT Whatsminer M30S+
    3400W / 100TH/s = 34
Profitability per day as of 5/6/2021 = $35.09

    Bitmain Antminer T19
    3150W / 84TH/s = 37.5
Profitability per day as of 5/6/2021 = $28.63

    Canaan AvalonMiner 1246
    3420W / 90TH/s = 38
Profitability per day as of 5/6/2021 = $30.55

    MicroBT Whatsminer M30S
    3268W / 86TH/s = 38
Profitability per day as of 5/6/2021 = $29.19

    Bitmain Antminer S17 Pro
    1975W / 50TH/s = 39.5
Profitability per day as of 5/6/2021 = $16.75

    Bitmain Antminer S17+
    2920W / 73TH/s = 40
Profitability per day as of 5/6/2021 = $24.36

So the next step is now to find used inventory and prices on the above devices..

Looking at that data above.. The MicroBT Whatsminer M30S++ is highest profitability and has close to the top efficiency... I wonder what price I can buy that model for????

Just be careful of those Texas electricity rates. That's why most crypto miners are in areas next to hydro. There are some that even shut down in the seasons when electricity rates go higher.

Maybe just spend your time investing in crypto miners instead?

Looking over my bills at my brick & mortar, I pay about 11cent per kWh. At my house I pay about 14cent per kWh. But those profit number on the above list are Net. The electricity cost accounted for. What is not accounted for is the HVAC to remove the heat generated.

Yeah it probably would be better to just invest in the crypto... But what fun is that!

I just checked my coinbase crypto account. Yesterday at 5pm my ETC was @ $104 per coin, and today it has hit a high of $175. Physically mining the coin would be way more hassle than just investing in it...

The CC companies send me those blank check promotion offers... But I just don't have the nuts to cash them and take those funds and by crypto with.. But if I would have a few weeks ago when I bought ETC for $43.64 that would have been a major win! Argghhh,
