ETA Expo 2013
I'm FINALLY going to an ETA expo and will be in New Orleans this year. Was wondering what the trends are like, do people usually stay for the week, a couple days, or what? Is more time spent at the show or at the bars?
p.s. my wife is coming too. She wants to see new orleans. good idea? bad idea?Last edited by Sean Cash; 02-26-2013 at 04:08 PM.

never been to any of the shows. I kinda see them as a way to party with clients and write it off as a company expense. I think if it was typical for a company to announce some kind of a revolutionary product, I would consider it. However, it seems like the only "revolutions" that happens around here are someone offering 9% commissions instead of 7% or something to that affect.
Many years have passed in cash advance and it still just comes down to who has the highest approval rate and best comp package.

Sean... Are you going to get a booth or just roam? And don't come early unless you want to play golf hahha. I know from our experience we usually have meetings set up through out the 2 to 3 days we are there. Most of our meetings are with our ISO's that we usually do not get to have a face to face interaction with and discuss the pro's and con's of working with MCG and address any changes we have made. I will say that i have been to ETA at Vegas and ETA venue outside of Vegas. I find that when outside of Vegas you do get people who are there to attend to more business than pleasure... but this is New Orlenas and not San Diego so that may provide the same atmosphere as Vegas. Oh and if your wife comes... as long as she is okay doing adventures on her own during the day she should enjoy as i don't think she would want to spend the full two days on the expo floor.

thanks for the feedback. I'm not a golfer and I just planned on roaming
You said "2 full days" but the website lists 4 days. http://www.electran.org/am12/?page_id=102
Which days are the "real days"?

I believe if you do full conference no as that covers Tuesday through Thursday- educational courses are in addition and therefore cost money to attend those... if you do individual day passes then yes you have to pay for Tuesday night.

Actually can we do a poll to see how many people are already planning on attending?

Ok, let's resurrect this thread. ETA Expo is 3 weeks away. I'm arriving on the 28th and staying at the Crowne Plaza. I don't have a fixed schedule each day so I want to know what everyone else is doing. I do plan on spreading the word about DailyFunder to everyone I meet though!

Benchmark will definitely be attending once again. Look out for Michael Jaffe and the ISO support team at the ETA!

I'm not going to lie, I'm a little worried about going through airport security with a huge suitcase full of these:

Bishop is still funding down in Texas? Haven't heard anything about Motherfund in years

i think they said they only fund deals in 4 states. They didn't seem too keen on nyc ISOs, at least that's the impression I got.

I remember when he first came out with Mother Factor. Never seemd big time to me. Think he syndicates a bunch with SFS (he's a former SFS rep anyway)

stacking popped up in every conversation I had down here. It's an issue for sure that the industry needs to resolve.

Well, until someone actually sues someone else, it is all just hot air....and that is what the stacking specialists are counting on
