Asking for Referrals
Slightly different than most of the discussions on here but am an Insurance agent in California. I am at the start of my career so haven't built the same networks most of you have, I was wondering what bricks you guys and gals laid in order to start building that pipeline. And for me lenders are a big source of potential referrals is there something an insurance agent can do to make your life easier?

Best strategy for referrals is to offer something of value first....whether it be information, referrals, a potential source of information, something that helps solve a problem, etc.
Or have a good conversation and make them laugh or feel good. That works as well.
Just try as best as you can to give something first. Then remember to ask.

Do you insure commercial vehicles and would you be able to quickly get the policy # for the client/lender when it is needed to close on a lease?
