Perhaps I will be proven wrong.. It looks like there are some local governments willing to address this reparations thing head on. North Carolina's, Asheville City Council to vote on reparations for it's Black residents on July 14th. Excerpts from the resolution... "Black people have been unjustly" enslaved, segregated and incarcerated. And that they "have been unjustly targeted by law enforcement and criminal justice procedures, incarcerated at disproportionate rates and subsequently excluded from full participation in the benefits of citizenship that include voting, employment, housing and health care." "The City Council of the City of Asheville apologizes and makes amends" for participating in slavery, enforcing segregation and urban renewal "that destroyed multiple successful Black communities," the resolution says. Here is the complete resolution they will be voting on. https://www.scribd.com/document/468705276/New-B-Reso-Supporting-Community-Reparations-for-Black-Asheville#from_embed Interested to see how this gets voted on... This may be a precursor of what may be heavily debated during the 2020 election.

To echo my coworker Jack Malone, we absolutely do not take part in this practice. We are a direct lender, not a funder, and we only offer monthly payment loan products. The closest thing we have to an MCA is our Fixed Payback Loan which is structured to be an MCA look alike via a larger origination fee w/no interest assessed. Even that product carries a monthly payment though, and we seldom utilize said product with our borrowers. If you'd like to discuss this further please give us a call at 949-535-7798. Thanks.

Good stuff from the board, thanks for the info everyone! I'm getting a lot of SBA requests from my marketing lately so it's helpful to get actionable information from folks here on DF! MCA prospects are much fewer and further between - the stimulus took a lot of potential borrowers out of the equation and the lock downs made the rest un-lendable.

What do you mean by this? Banks make 7(a) loans and dictate rates and referral fees. There are plenty of banks that pay more than 2 points (generally dependent on the rate they charge the borrower).

We can assist with this. Must have at least 3 months of credit card sales averaging at least $6,500 per month. If it's a new business we can possibly use our Jumpstart funding product.

Honestly I have no idea. I just know that they do SBA terms up to 350k without commercial real estate, and every time they pay me 2 points on the loan amount.

I get bombarded by spam from them. Supposedly doing 1st position at 1.15 over 12 months and 2nd position at 1.05 over 6 months pre-covid. Seemed too good to be true, but I've always been direct and never bothered digging into it.

To answer a question that has been asked several times - we are interested in all funder's portfolios, not just portfolios from other high risk funders. While we started out in the high risk space and are still very actively expanding in the high risk segment, we are also active in the A/B market as well.

I'm not sure what you mean by pay structure? If you are asking will we pay a referral fee, the answer is yes we will pay a referral fee to anyone who introduces us to a company that we complete a transaction with.
