I was double charged by google this month, then they returned it......Is that theft? Lets say it went the other way, lets say funders stopped the very day the last pull is pulled and didn't wait for it to clear and the actual balance to reach zero. Then 3 days later they found out the last payment or 2 bounced, and the merchant went MIA....and then assessed default fee's (as is their right). That would be wrong right? Or when Funders pay off other Funders, but the first Funder keeps taking payments because they don't process the payoff instantly....by your logic, your saying that is theft? Every MCA by your rational should be arrested then, put them in cuffs. What your saying is completely asinine. It is not theft. It is just how it is....AGAIN, as a result of using outdated ACH technology. Look at Crypto lending, Instant Settlement, Low Interest, it is a much better system. Until it is adopted globally/nationally and replaces the centralized banking industry (BELIEVE ME IT WILL HAPPEN EVENTUALLY) - Collecting 3 Payments past the end of term, because ACH takes time to clear..... is the system we have. Why you are on a forum filled with people who make a living with the Industry,, calling them thieves, Is unknown to me. Thats like saying if you pay with a check, the moment the receipient receives the check said product should be released or its theft. No, waiting for it to clear to make sure your paid isn't theft.

So the Feds are basically causing Par to default on all the investors, and thereby proving the theory that they ran an illegal scheme, since they can’t pay back the investments. Is this actually happening?

I hate to break it to all of you, but PAR will NOT prevail. I DON"T WISH ANYTHING AGAINST PAR. I have never done business with them. However, the government has spoken, and if they want you, they will get you. Cry and whine like a bitch all you want. Playing tough against them is a waste of f***ng time. If they don't get you for this, they will get you for that. They have two things that NONE of us out there have. All the time in the world...and all the money in the world. Normally I would wish PAR the best and suggest they settle to minimize the exposure and damages....but receivership and frozen bank accounts? I think we are WAY, WAY beyond settlement agreements here.

This is shock-n-awe. Freeze accounts, lock down all transactions, kinda like their knee on Par's neck huh? Only these guys are smart, law abiding and rich enough to fight back which means the only game the Fed's have left is the same pathetic game plan they use every time they f$#k up: abuse their authority, play dirty, lie, game the system and basically do things far worse than the "criminals" they're supposedly stopping. Meanwhile Dimon, Corzine, Wells, Chase, Citi, HSBC some of whom have recently been convicted of egregious felony's including money laundering catch a pass...no freezes or perp walks there huh? How would it sound every time Dimon was interviewed on CNBC they introduced him as the "Chairman of convicted felon bank Chase"? This is a shakedown. A bad one. God speed and best of luck - we need Par back !!

Did you miss this line???? "To make it absolutely crystal clear, the financial data shows that, for one week that the Receiver has been in place, July 29, 2020 through August 4, 2020, the total loss in ACH payments is approximately $6,592,991.59." BUT since your a numbers guy then you know that 6.5 million collected every week it doesn't take long to collect 500 mil!! I'm sure you know what RTR is right, c'mon man. You should be on the industries side and not trying to bash funders that everyone needs!!!

Great Job!! About time someone stands up to these Federal goons. Its a shame that people are being penalized for running a legitimate operation! I guess in today's society were guilty until proven innocent.... Very obvious whats happening here, complete shake down and attack on the industry. Par will prevail.

I believe in one of the articles it said the trustee has paused all transactions so they can set up appropriate accounts. It would make sense to do so.

Sorry if a stupid question but what will happen with their current fundings will they still be pulling payments from merchants?[/QU Hmm what happens to all those reverses that are not getting their weekly credit. I don't think they have been pulling debits from merchants accounts from the conversations I have had in the past few days.

It depends on your role in the industry. I dont claim to be an expert on this and i dont know all that can be done to prepare, but at the bare minmum id say as a broker you should be trying to incorporate some other products (LOC's, SBA loans, invoice factoring, equipment financing etc etc) particularly if your model relies on high risk, short term, multiple position deals.

People see these headlines so often that they think this isnt a big deal, and its not a big deal TODAY. But its coming. This industry is heading for more regulations and it gets closer and closer everyday. Those who are in denial and dont prepare will be left holding an empty bag and scrambling to figure it out.
