01-28-2025, 05:02 PMFundingCaptain started a thread We should be seeing more applications coming now... in Merchant Cash Advancewith the federal government pausing all grants and loans including the SBA, we should start seeing an influx of applications soon. All the merchants that said they were going to go the SBA route should be getting called on this week to advise them that option is not on the table for the foreseeable future

01-21-2025, 12:49 PMLooking for a few microlenders similar to Vader. Most that we have signed up recently have been awful. Simple deals up to 15-20K with terms as high as 80-100p.

01-15-2025, 02:36 PMThe strategy is called "Acquisition-Only Promotions", which you see used by a lot by phone companies and subscription services, and the financial industry. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) filed a lawsuit against Capital One Bank, alleging Capital One misused the tactic to unfairly enrich themselves for billions. Capital One marketed its "360 Savings" accounts as offering competitive (higher) interest rates to its customers (regular every day depositors). In 2019, the bank introduced a new product, the "360 Performance Savings" account, which offered significantly higher interest rates. However, existing 360 Savings account holders were not informed about this new option, leading to substantial losses in interest earnings, estimated to be about 2 billion dollars. The Tactic is: promotions or special offers are extended only to new clients, while existing clients are excluded. It attracts new customers and creates a buzz around your offer, but it can alienate existing customers, leading to dissatisfaction. You get short-term gains but can harm long-term loyalty if you do it wrong. In Capital One's case, the CFPB is alleging that it was illegal. In the MCA industry, would the correlation would be on-boarding new Isos and paying them a higher bonus than current Isos, or giving merchants a better deal their second or third go around, but only if they ask? Curious to hear people's opinions. 50K -100K Sales Volume Merchants, Free Real Time Leads, Bulk Data Pricing... www.UccRadar.com

02-11-2025, 03:51 PMI sincerely apologize to Abe Cohen. It appears I missed emails regarding my client’s funding and was unaware that after the merchant was funded, they bounced payments. As a result, Abe withheld the commission instead of initiating a clawback until the merchant repaid the deal. Abe reached out to me directly and clarified that he had sent the commission. I misrepresented the situation in my post, and I regret any misunderstanding. Once again, I apologize to Abe—he has not cheated anyone out of a commission.

01-28-2025, 05:12 PMHello Brokers, I had to step away from the business loan industry a couple of years ago because double brokering on loans was cutting into my commissions, making it unsustainable to continue. Now, I’m looking to re-enter the industry and want to work exclusively with reputable DIRECT LENDERS for a variety of loan products, including: MCA (Merchant Cash Advances) Equipment Financing Lines of Credit (LOC) Term Loans Working Capital SBA Loans Accounts Receivable & Purchase Order Financing Asset-Based Loans Franchise Loans Fix & Flip Loans Commercial Real Estate Loans, etc. If anyone here has a list of direct lenders for these loan products or can point me in the right direction, I’d greatly appreciate your help. Looking forward to learning and collaborating with this community!

02-04-2025, 12:19 PMIncase some of you may not know, he wasn't let go because they were making him rich by paying this greedy goofball 5 a deal for something as menial as bizdev. He was let go because he owns a broker shop. I'm shocked no one has exposed this guy. Isos he's double dipping.. your leads, biz dev comm, sales comm, you're making a frog who never was or will be a prince money for no reason. He even hired the guy whose shopped a default masonry deal for 3 weeks because he can't close enough deals to buy books for his kids for school, who used to be an iso. Are you guys really that foolish?

01-30-2025, 04:18 PMHey everyone, I usually don't post on here much, but I do come on to get insightful information. With that said, has this ever happened to you with Elevate or any other funding company? I didn't use Elevate much although I did send deals to them sporadically due to their box being so strange in regards to what they like and don't like. I funded a restaurant deal with them once and we continued renewing them and although I could've gone elsewhere, I would use Elevate because it was just easier than starting the process with another funder. We renewed it a few times and then after about the 3rd or 4th renewal, they tell me I have to fund more deals in order to get paid on this file if it renews again in the future. Long story long, they renewed it afterwards and we didn't get paid and it's been almost a year that this client has been getting renewed with Elevate and we don't get paid. It's pretty much their client now and not ours, although we're the ones that brought it to them. Listen, we fund deals from real estate to mca and sba's. It's not about the money, but more about the principal. If you're out there and want to give them a try, just be careful because they made up a rule on the fly and blatantly stole a merchant from their lifeblood, an ISO.

01-15-2025, 09:35 AMNeed confirmation if there is truth behind these. Sad to see the good guys close shop (if both of these are true), hopefully they pivot. They are basically institutions in our industry that deserve respect for what they accomplished. Plenty of broker shops also did the same recently. Economy is cycling….

01-28-2025, 03:38 PMHas anyone ever done a deal with Utica? Was referred to them by Slim due to deal size. They dont have an iso agreement and was told they would write us in the contract.
-
02-06-2025, 02:34 PMI've been running an ISO shop for 9 years now. 5 years ago, we set up openers and closers instead of every rep needing to do both tasks. For whatever reason, we decided back then that IF the closer gets a PSF (we don't charge PSF's rampantly just when relevant and usually 3%-5%), the opener doesn't not get a cut of the PSF. Does anyone deal with this and have any feedback? Is it more fair to give the openers a cut of the PSF? Or is it more accurate to say that the PSF is a "closers fee" Additionally, on non MCA deal like Real estate deals and equipment deals the PSF outweighs the commissions sometimes would you consider that differently? Would love any feedback, thanks.

02-05-2025, 06:37 PMwho is onboard to here. the only way the business stays alive long term, is to start behaving. This is to all short-term funders...can everyone set a minimum term? For example, everyone stays at a minimum of 40 day or 50 day term. Think about it. You want to justify going short bc the merchant is high-risk? ok, so do 40 days and renew early. Just a vote here. Can you change your model to doing a minimum term of 40d or maybe 50d? your reputation will be cleaner. what are the chances of this happening? Reply here if u would be on board.

01-24-2025, 12:48 AMFranklin started a thread The Yellowstone Ruling: Is it Egregious Debt Relief, or Communism? in Merchant Cash Advance* The Case for Debt Relief A 1.065 billion judgment against YS, with half used to cancel outstanding debt. The other half, ($514 million) is a judgment to be paid out by Yellowstone. Paid out to who? In a typical DEBT RELIEF agreement, broker makes 2 to 5 points on the debt amount. NY is charging almost 100 points on the debt amount, which is ironic, being that they just speared Yellowstone to the wall for allegedly doing just that. * The Case for Communism In Communism, you frequently see the redistribution of wealth from the top of the people, to the bottom of the people, with the government getting half of all the profits. Does this sound familiar in this case? All the merchants got their money back, all gleaned from YS. And NY will be clearing the other half of the profits. Did we just witness communism, debt relief, or a government helping out its citizens? Curious to hear viewpoints. Wholesale pricing for Merchants Seeking Capital www.UccRadar.com

02-08-2025, 12:13 PMHello all..... I am fairly new to the MCA world. Where would you recommend I start? I have spoke with a few different outfits about coming on board. Can someone recommend a reputable organization to start with? It appears there are a lot of unethical outfits out there that are just looking to make a quick buck. I am not looking for that. I know what I'm capable of and want to make sure I'm with a solid organization. I am looking to work remotely from home. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

01-28-2025, 07:21 PMA merchant today asked me if he can use his cattle as collateral for a loan. At first I immediately thought no because while they are inventory they are live animals. The more I thought about this however it made me wonder if someone would actually do it.

01-17-2025, 02:01 PMi typically do not post here trying to solicit business but suffice it to say this is an interesting one... Used Auto Wholesale in NY (not nyc-metro area) over 20yrs in business, rev fluctuates 300-800K monthly.. Over 11M gross in 2023, 9M in 2022....never has less than 100k in acct....good personal credit, nothing crazy negative on background that would result in auto-decline... my A Paper go-to for a deal like this gave an extremely frustrating decline due to the business banking having only his name and not the business name, which there is a perfectly reasonable explanation for. Looking for someone who would take a Serious look at a deal like this for 200k-ish.... a serious look meaning, a 3 month starter deal is not gonna cut it.
