    Becoming an MCA Broker

    Hello everyone

I am new in the industry.
I have some experience in cold
calling, so I am not afraid of the
    phone ot rejection.

How do you become a MCA broker?
    Is possible?

I have been looking for information
about it but have not been able to
    find much.

    Thank you

    Carlos

You should probably be looking at other career options based on your initial post.

I agree with drizzle on this one based on your
Poor grammar and spelling the merchants we
Deal with will not tolerate it

Oh sorry, I meant to say:

I am not afraid of the phone.

Thank you for your advice on career change,
but I will not take it.

    Johnnycash, Please correct me on
    grammar issue you refer to.

I am always looking to learn.

    Thank you

    Carlos

If you think "COLD" calling is a good "career" move... You have a whacked out future plan.

Most of the people on here are bouncing around with no office to call home. You see their LinkedIn and it states they have worked at 6 or 7 locations. That says a lot if you ask me. Everyone has to start somewhere. I can recall working from home and using ach works from my basement. PM us Carlos anyone can do this. we can get you started with dialer, marketing and set you up with our portal to Submit your files.

"Everyone starts somewhere" may be the most cliched saying I have heard on this forum. Duh, obviously everyone starts somewhere and particularly in this industry its the inexperience of these "new someones" trying to make a buck screwing up the game for everyone else. Personally, if you are not putting money in my pocket, I am not wasting my time giving advice. You want good training? Apply at a funding facility, work there for a year, branch off on your own.

    1. Get a cheap New York accent.

    2. Call merchants with food in your mouth.

    3. Upon giving approvals, threaten that they can't do any better and insult them with wise-guy cracks recycled from a Martin Scorsese movie.

    4. Go home to your apartment, should be big enough to hold a mini-fridge, plop down with a beer and watch the Sports team of your choice. Brooklyn is a good start.

    5. Rinse. Repeat.

    Congratulations. You're an MCA broker.

It's money!!! Everyone needs it. Everyone wants it. Everyone has to have it. Offer it to them............

Pretty simple concept, right? Just remember that, find a decent home that will give you a fair commission, leads and guidance. The rest you will learn through experience.

That's too funny. We dubbed one of our ISO reps in the city as "pastrami," always making calls with a mouth full of Katz's.

    If it's Katz, it's excusable.

Anonymous, that was too funny....and too close to reality for some people...

Carlos, if you're a native spanish speaker, focus on merchants with hispanic last names, speak to them in their native tongue, listen to their concerns about everything (not just funding) and tell them you would like to provide them a few solutions. Then start researching funders who do both good credit, bad credit, and everything in between, pick 5 to 10 to build with and start submitting packages.

What do you know about the business? Or are you just assuming "sales is sales, cannot be any different"?

  24. #24
Chamo, I do not think any sales is sales. I have successfully run a $350mil annual revenue company. Experienced in finance industry and militart industry complex among other things.
